Hi there its been ages. I'm really sorry about that but I forgot my password and only just got around to sorting it out. Everything has been ridiculously hectic at college with everyone frantically fussing about last pieces of work. I think everyone is on a level 3 bar one or two people but everyone is working really hard. I'm pretty sure i've finished everything except the organisation of my portfolio and possibly a couple of pieces of maths homework. Its been a really frantic year and i'll miss alot of people here. The lecturers have been really good throughout the whole experiance and it is a shame to know that the Access course wont be running next year as I think that it has really helped alot of people in what they want to do.
Anyway it's been an emotional year with its ups and downs/highs and lows and I am looking forward to going to university.

Many thanks to Victoria, Beth, Gareth and Lionel not to mention Lucy in English and Geoff in Math. You have all been great!

Right well I only need about 6 more credits at level 3 to be able to get a level three at the end of my course. Plus another 15 at at least level 2. There are about 3 months left of the course so everything is going really well. My blog is being updated a little more frequently these days as I have still been fairly reluctant to do any real work ;~). If I get on with a little more programming coursework I can see myself getting a decent grade for that module too. We have a massive assignment coming up in programming soon and I won't be too confident about it unless I start to get some coursework finished and grab a better understanding of what I am doing.

My attendance isn't as bad as I thought it was too and Maths and English is alright at the moment but I really need to sort out my statistics homework.

Well i've just switched my old account over to the new and its pretty much identical to the previous one. Its the start of a new week and I need to pull my finger out and get down to work. I've been accepted into university on a conditional entry depending on whether I pass this course so I just need to put in a final push to get me in the clear. My E portfolio is bare bones except for poor director animation and I want to get Beths assignment out of the way too because its a big one. I need to get on with maths and I have a speaking test for english on thursday and I don't have a clue as to what I am going to talk about. So I think i'll talk about poo from sharks because no one knows much about shark poo. In fact i'll probably have to make it up. I will try to convince everyone that it is radioactive.

Sorry I haven't posted for ages. I have been so busy enjoying the sunshine I simply haven't had time to do real work. At the moment I am working on Beths assignment which is creating our own database based on our planning assignments for the last few months and also on Victorias director tutorials. I have been setting up my own e-portfolio and have been slowly cracking away at Gareths assignments. Everything is going fairly smoothly and I haven't really fallen behind yet except with maybe Lionels homework. I go into town to eat now and today I bought some wheatgrass powder. It is disgusting so I will give it to someone else.

Hi, its been a while. I've been doing work on beths and gareths assignments lately so I haven't been able to get to the blog. The course is getting pretty heavy now and I have been underachieving in maths too. I need to get an English essay in by thursday as a first draft too so I really need to get my head down at home with work.

I haven't eaten at the cafeteria for a while now.

Its the first day back from christmas and I haven't done anything except drink like an idiot. Now I am starting to feel guilty about not doing any college work, especially programming. Its nice to see everyone again, although Alex is rather cruelly teasing me about my new turtle necked sweater I currently am donning. When I have all my millions I sharn't offer him even a single penny. Stupid words aside, I will try my best to get all of my work that is due in next week finished. Until next time. BYWEBYEBYE

Alright. It's nearly the end of term now and I have just about finished everything that needs to be done before I can get some Xmas cheer in my belly. Just finished a test with Beth right now and I gotta say it was pretty hard, so not looking forward to those results. Whats more there is still a fair bit to complete on my website. I am having trouble with ideas, or how to implement them. I will attempt to put in a forum but I am worried about destroying what i've already got.

Victoria is also not dead as she came in this morning, so generally everything is good in college. The canteen staff actually gave me too much to eat today and I felt sick. But I didn't vomit so three cheers for me.

This week I am planning on finishing Victorias assignment on web site design and evaluation. I still have quite alot of work to do for Gareth but I am hoping to crack on with it as soon as the website is out of the way. I have handed in Beths assignment early too but I am now starting to regret not putting more effort into it. I am still eating at the canteen but unfortunately I am getting fat so maybe I will force myself to vomit after each meal.

Sorry I haven't updated much lately as my mind has been wandering. That is not good. bye.

This week i have been mostly eating beans eggs bacon and sausages from the cafeteria. The lessons are fine. Next week we have a test for maths and today Victoria is handing out an assignment. So at the moment I have 4 assignments to do. Ouch. Luckily the deadlines aren't too terrible so hopefully I can finish them at home or in the library. I still have no internet at home so I will have to persuade my other half to leave her computer alone for a while. No easy task I assure you.

Hello. Well I seem to be up to date so far on my course. Having trouble on maths but my assignments have all been handed in on time. Its getting gradually colder and colder as the year comes to a close and i'm looking forward to having some time to drink like a fat santa. I need to start cutting down on the canteen food as well because I am getting fat. Alex (classmate) is full of diesease and Josh is still miserable.

Hi, its the first day back after half term and i'm getting back into the swing of things. Thought i'd start with my blog as it wouldn't have been updated for 2 weeks. I'm just about to get on with Beths assignment and thankfully I wasn't too lazy over half term and completed some programming and my maths coursework. Whether any of it is right is another question.

Sorry for the delay in postage. I was doing other things which were also important! Like programming and discussing the food in the cafeteria. It is a good excuse thank you. Programming is really good as i am finding it much easier this time round. And I think that generally I am up to date with everything. Bit worried about my UCAS application as the longer I leave it the worse it plays on my mind. Class is cool without any assholes yet so hooray.

First focus is over now and I think the real work is now going to begin. On a different note, my diet has become a fixed curly fries beans and chips, which is starting to upset some of my classmates. If you read this I am not sorry, but liberated of methane. I can taste the freedom everytime I open my nostrils.

Maths is okay and I think I finally understand fractions. Even if it is after 24 years. I am still enjoying the course and am particularly looking forward to english this week as I get to hand in a 500 word personal story of a recent experiance.

Week 4

The work is starting to build up now. Today we had a visit from a careers adviser with information on filling out our forms for applying to university. On thursday we got out first proper assignment on health and saftey. It isn't looking too daunting at the moment but i'm getting the feeling that i'll have to start setting my pc up at home at last. Maths is going okay also. And i've only had one lesson of english so far so i'm unable to tell whether i've learnt anything or not from it. The plus side to it though is that there are 2 tiers. I'm hoping to get entered into the higher one just so I have the chance of maybe getting an A in a GCSE.

Wishful thinking.

So far so good. The course isn't so bad at the moment and alot of memories are starting to come back to me. Especially in maths and MS access. Victoria has told us today that we should expect a visit next week from someone called Trisha who is going to help us with our UCAS registrations. I eventually enrolled last week and am expecting my login and password today. Woo. So far the slowest lesson seems to be Lionels. But it's understandable as programming is a pretty hard subject to get around and he needs to make sure everyone is at the same level.

Really enjoying the course now and the pace is steadily improving.

Started our first few semi-serious lessons with Beth Tomkinson and Geoff (our maths tutor). I think alot of the students (me included) may have had a small amount of trouble taking all of the information in at first. I'm hoping it will get slightly easier. At the moment though, I am enjoying the course. And I feel like I could learn quite alot. The course seems to be moving a fair bit quicker than my old college days. And alot of the information is coming back pretty fast.

It pretty early to be sure of how much work i'll be loaded down with so I probably don't deserve too much of an opinion at the moment. I'm hoping to get some assignments pretty soon and I'm pretty confident of getting some decent marks as well. Fingers crossed anyway.

The guys on the course are really nice as well. And I feel that we could have many good drinking games in the pub together.

1st Week of college

Hi. This blog is about me. In college, doing an Access to IT course. I am really looking forward to getting started properly and making headway with assignments. Being back in college gives me an odd sense of nostalgia. Having done IT for 3 years before in Abingdon 5 years ago and now doing the same thing once again in Oxford is... strange.

And now I will be doing this infernal blog for a whole year now, for a measley credit. If you are reading this, don't expect thrills and exciting stories. In fact, I don't think you should be reading this at all you nosy worm.

Anyway, first week is good and easy. Weathers nice. Hurrah! And the lecturers don't seem like assholes.
Yet :)
